Innovation and Entrepreneurship
To bring together and connect Georgia’s emerging companies with the resources, professionals, and tools necessary to further innovation in Georgia.
The Committee will focus on the following key objectives:
- Support and mentorship: Offer resources and guidance for life sciences entrepreneurs, including access to experienced mentors, strategic advice, and technical support.
- Networking and collaboration: Facilitate partnerships and collaborations within the life sciences community, including with universities, research institutions, and industry leaders.
- Funding opportunities: Identify and promote sources of funding for life sciences start-ups, including venture capital, grants, and state or federal support programs.
- Advocacy: Promote policies at the state and federal levels that encourage entrepreneurship and innovation within Georgia’s life sciences industry.
- Education and training: Provide educational events, workshops, and seminars on key issues related to life sciences entrepreneurship, such as regulatory compliance, commercialization of research, and business development.
- Promotion of Georgia as a hub for life sciences innovation: Increase awareness of Georgia as a leader in life sciences innovation and entrepreneurship.
