Access to Capital
Facilitating Member Access to Non-Dilutive Federal Funding Opportunities
Many companies make federal grants an important part of their capitalization strategy. So long as it is on mission, this non-dilutive funding is an excellent way to lengthen the runway, gain external validation, and create shareholder value.
Georgia Life Sciences has engaged G2G Consulting to scan all federal sources of funding for the life sciences— NIH, NSF, NIST, DOD, DARPA, VA, etc.— and identify specific current and upcoming opportunities. Georgia Life Sciences members have access to their monthly GBG Report listing government bioscience grants.
Through this service we will also host monthly webinars with insights and consultation on funding opportunities on the 3rd Friday of the month at 10am EST.
Forums for Companies and Investors to Connect
Through our annual Georgia Life Sciences Summit, showcase events, and regional happy hours, we bring together investors, startups, and corporate partners, many looking for the next investment or partnership in the southeast region.
Advocating for State Policies which Provide Capital or Enhance Capital Formation
Georgia Life Sciences works in the state to promote and protect state policies which fund or support private funding of life science translational R&D and commercialization. We are the leading advocate for SBIR/STTR matching programs in Georgia to ultimately retain more business in the state.
Leveraging Industry Events
To aid our Members in their fundraising journeys and help them connect with Seed to Series B investors, channel and licensing partners, Georgia Life Sciences has established formal collaborations at the most respected BD&L events around the country.
